Marian Harris Smith was born on January 12, 1940, and died November 6, 2021, after a prolonged battle with dementia. Known for her love of all things family, she was the life of the party. The doors of her home were always open, and guests and family were welcomed with good food and laughter. Marian's family was her greatest joy. Her daughter Melissa Messick and her three daughter, Maddie, Emily, and Lauren, cared for her in their home the last two years of her life. Sean, her son, and grandson, Degan Greenwall brought smiles to her face. Marian worked for the Army Depot as well as the Corps of Engineers prior to her retirement. Marian is proceeded in death by her son Sean Greenwall, her husband Donald Paul Smith and William Robert Greenwall, her first husband, her parents Locke Houston Harris and Erma Mayes Harris, sister, Jacqueline Harris Ray, and brother-in-law, Albert Wallace Ray. Surviving Marian is her daughter Melissa Greenwall Messick, granddaughters Maddie Messick, Emily Messick, and Lauren Messick, and grandson Degan Greenwall.
