Marie Grief was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and a friend
to many. She was a devoted Child of God. She lived in Memphis most of her life but her heart was
always in her hometown of NOLA! She worked 30 years at International Harvester, after retirement she
volunteered at her favorite Catholic charities.
Her family knew her as "Mom" or "MaMaw". She was matriarch of 5 generations and made sure we were
all taken care of in different and special ways. She loved music, dancing and cooking. Her recipes will be
passed down for many generations to come.
When Marie entered a room, everyone knew she was there-her laugh was infectious, her smile made
others smile. Family gatherings will never be same without her.
Her legacy was "Family takes care of Family". Marie Grief touched many lives and will be loved and
missed by all who knew her.
Marie is survived by her two daughters, Dianna Drost and Patsy Cleveland- 4 Grandchildren -8 great
grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild.
