Marie Ryan McGhee (7/3/1926 - 7/16/2017)
A joyful life beautifully lived. For 91 years, our dear mother lived her faith and modeled God's love daily. She taught us that faith moves mountains, love conquers all, happiness comes from compassion for others and to always be grateful for our blessings. She was preceded in death by her parents, Steven L. Ryan and Clara C. Heckman Ryan; 7 brothers and sisters; her husband, Warren Edward McGhee; her daughter, Gayle Ann Williams; and her son-in-law, Louis L. Myers. She is survived by her two sons: Ben Edward McGhee (Delle) and James Warren McGhee (Ginger); her six daughters: Gloria M. Reynolds (Steve), Gina Marie Adair (Mike), Joy Lynn Hall (Marty), Sharron M. Myers, Stephenia M. DeLap (Ben), Beth York (Gary), and her son-in-law, James C. Williams. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 pm with Rosary at 6:30 pm at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East. A Catholic Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 20th at 10:00 am at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett, TN where she was a member for over 50 years. Entombment will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Memphis, TN and a reception in Marie's honor immediately following at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett, TN in the Trinity Hall. Memorials may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church; Sacred Heart Southern Mission, Walls, MS; or the charity of your choice.
