Obituary

Marilyn Gail Bruce passed away peacefully at her home on July 9, 2025 and now is eternally present with Jesus and other loved ones who had placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, whose sacrificial death paid the price for the sin of every man, woman, boy, and girl. Gail was the loving wife of husband Bob for 65 years until his death in 2017. Gail was mother to sons Trey and Tom, mother-in-law to Sandra, grandmother to Brennan, Brooke, Joe, Lauren, and Brent, and great grandmother to Cannon, Clara, Sam, Nate, and Maddi, all of whom she loved selflessly. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Fred and Mae Noland and her brother Bubber Noland. She will be remembered by her remaining sister Billie Marie Brannen, whom she dearly loved. Gail's work career included years as an associate at JB Hunter and Jefferson Ward department stores and later in the printing industry at Sawtelle Printing. As a member of Bellevue Baptist Church for over 60 years, Gail served as a Sunday School teacher and nursery worker for most of those years until her retirement in 2020. Her Christian service also included weekly trips for over a decade to Bellevue Frayser with Bob, Trey and friends to stock the food pantry that served as a tool to meet the physical needs of the less fortunate as a means to open their hearts to the truth that Jesus Christ alone can meet the spiritual hunger inside of every person. As per her request, there will be no formal funeral service but she will be remembered and honored by immediate family at an intimate graveside gathering prior to her burial in Veterans Cemetery alongside husband Bob. The presence, generosity, and love of Gail, Mama, Mamama, and Grandma Gail will be sorely missed by those who knew her until the day they are all reunited to never again be separated. If she were to share one fact with every reader today it would be that when she passed from this life into the presence of Jesus, abundant life, free from tears, worry, and pain, truly began and she would plead with anyone who does not know Jesus to taste and see that He is good before it is too late. Thank you Marilyn Gail Bruce for a life well-lived.
