Obituary

Marion Juanita "Nita" Bane Reinhardt, our beloved mother, passed away November 12, 2014. She is the daughter of deceased Blanche and Isaac Bane, born August 7, 1925 in Dyersburg, TN. She graduated from Dyersburg High, was recruited to work in Oak Ridge, TN and worked for Naval commanders in Guam during WWII. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Arthur Reinhardt, who she met while he played in Chuck Foster Band at the Peabody Skyway. They married March 16, 1952, and traveled the country with The Band. They raised three daughters, Amy Reinhardt Hutchinson (Mike), Georgia Reinhardt Chapman (Ron), and Anita Reinhardt Martin (Dan). Nita was active in PTA , the Annesdale Park Association and civic affairs. She worked as administrative assistant at the Hoover company, was medical transcriptionist at UT Center for the Health Sciences and worked with the Red Cross, American Heart Association and the MS Society. She was a devoted musician''s wife, was a member of the Shriner "Band-aids", and was Cotton Carnival queen of the Jazz and Blues Crue. She is survived by her three daughters, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home on Kirby Whitten Road at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2014, services to follow. The family requests that memorials be sent to the Alzheimer''s Association of Memphis.
