Marion Antonio
Johnson
Jan 12, 1978 — Jun 29, 2026
Memphis
Marion Antonio Hall Johnson, lovingly known as Brucie, went home to be with the Lord, on June 29, 2026 at 10:17am at St. Francis Hospital, in Memphis, Tennessee.
He is survived by his dedicated mother, Debra Hall, his sisters, Jessica Hall Martin (Josh) and Monica Felder (Kevin); brothers, Keith Ashley and Kevin Ashley, niece Cadence, nephews Chaz and Emanuel, and beloved nephew and caretaker, Kevin, whom he looked upon as a son. He also leaves behind a host of treasured aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, colleagues, and neighbors; including his most recent work family, The Flynn Family Group at the Pizza Hut Call Center.
He was preceded in death by his brother Daton Hall, his father Marion Volume Johnson, and aunt Dorris Jones (James).
Marion professed a love of Christ early in life and was baptized at Center Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where, in his youth, he was an active member of the choir. He graduated from Collierville High School in 1997, and with his unrivaled work ethic and natural charm and effervescence he began a career in retail and customer service where he rose through the ranks to become a respected manager and supervisor.
Marion had a charming and magnetic personality, through which he formed many close friendships. Strangers and acquaintances never stayed that way for long, as many of his friends, whom he met at school and work, remained close to him and active in his life for decades after they were introduced. They became more than simply his friends, they were his bonus brothers, sisters, cousins, and chosen family. He was also a humorous and captivating storyteller who could often be found relating events with dynamic flair and spot-on impressions.
Though his last few years were plagued with serious illness, his light, faith, and zest for life never waned.
His memory will live forever in our hearts.
