Obituary

MARJORIE B. MACLIN, 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2013. She was a member of Macon Methodist Church and a member of the Spasmodic Torticollis Association as well as the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation. She was the oldest living dystonia victim, was a participant in the Dystonia Data Bank and was a Dystonia Brain Donor. It was her hope that her brain might help find the cure. She leaves her only beloved child, Marjorie Ann Maclin Pierce, her son-in-law, Ray Pierce, and her only living sibling, Martha Kate Thomas of Hernando, MS. She also leaves a legacy of faith, hope and courage to other dystonia victims. She had a sweet gentle spirit and was a joy to all those who knew her. Funeral services will be at Forest Hill East on Whitten Road, with viewing at 1 p.m.. Monday, October 7 and the service at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Hill Midtown Cemetery on Elvis Presley Blvd. immediately following the service.
