Martha Adams was born in Earle, Arkansas on June 9, 1931. Martha entered eternal life on Saturday, November 7 th , 2020 at home with her niece Tina and her long-time caregiver Diane by her side.

Martha moved to Memphis when she was 23 years old. She began working for Kroger and would spend her career there at different locations throughout the mid-south. She was blessed enough to find her life partner of over 40 years, Charlene Oursler in 1970. Together they traveled to visit many countries and enjoyed the sheer beauty of nature. She enjoyed reading and spending time gardening. Once gambling became legal, the two enjoyed going to the casinos and playing the slot machines. Together they had many successful businesses which was a monumental accomplishment for women at that time.

She will best be remembered as a kind-hearted, Christian woman and always tried her best to help others in need. She attended St. Ann's Catholic church and developed life-long friendships there. She was a dear friend to many.

Martha's visitation will be held at Forest Hill – East, 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, Tennessee 38133 on Friday, November 13th, 2020 from 9 am-10 am. The service will be held in the chapel from 10 am-10:45 am with a private family prayer at her final resting place.

The family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Diane Porter for providing excellent care to Martha during her final days.
