Martha Louise Carpenter, died December 29 th at age 98, born in Jackson, TN. She grew up in rural MS, a writer of inspirational poetry and devotionals, studied with Christian Writers Institute and awarded a diploma in Christian Writers Techniques. Granted Editors Choice Award 1997 and first place in the James Darby Memorial Awards from Life Press Writers Conference in 1998. She was published in outstanding poets of 1998 and two poetry books in 2009 and 2019.

The family will receive guest for the Visitation Services on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 1pm until Celebration Service at 2pm at Forest Hill Midtown chapel, with burial to follow.
