Martha Frances Hauser Hines, at the young age of 96 passed away on Wednesday, March 16 at her home in Town Village Independent Living in Memphis Tennessee. Services will be Tuesday, March 22, at 2:00pm at Forrest Hill East Funeral Home and Cemetery in Memphis, TN.
Martha was born December 9, 1925 in Union City, TN; parents were Richard and Nettie Harrison of Union City, Tennessee.
Married March 24, 1946 to the love of her life, Tom W. Hauser Sr of R ive s Tennessee. They shared 49 years together before his death October 13, 1995. Had two children, Daughter, Sherie E. Garrigan , husband, H.E. of Union City TN, and a son Tom W. Hauser Jr., wife, Shelia, of Magnolia, TX.
Remarried February 5, 2004 to Norman Hines in Memphis, TN. Norman passed in November of 2008.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Sherie E. Garrigan (Husband H.E.), and son, Tom W. Hauser Jr. ( Wife Shelia).
She has 7 grandchildren: Laurie, Leslie, Chad, Marcie, Jenny, Brooke and Tommy. Then she has 25 great grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren.
She is proceeded in death by her husband s' Tom W. Hauser Sr and Norman Hines , her parents, brothers and sister ( Bobby, Bill, Richard Dale, Marion)
Martha was a charter member of Cherokee Baptist Church in Memphis, in volved in MWU and many other church activities. She worked various jobs and retired from NBC Bank.
She will be remembered by many, family and friends for a strong, yet gentle sassy soul. Full of life, love and joy in the Lord, and in his church. She nurtured, loved and served her family well.
Moms' favorite life bible verse is found in Isaiah 26:3-4
"He will give perfect peace to him whose mind is stayed on Him, because he trust Him".
In Leu of flowers, the family request any donations in her behalf be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, or a ministry in your local church.
