Southaven - Martha Jean (Houck) Griffith, 85, a resident of Life Pointe Village in Southaven, MS, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, DeSoto. Mrs. Griffith was born on February 22, 1928 in Memphis, TN. She is the widow of Harry Griffith Jr. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Mary Viola and John Alexander Houck and eight siblings. She leaves one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Griffith Eldred (Sam); 3 grandchildren: Preston Eldred, Griff Eldred (Beverly), Andy Eldred (Cindy) and 5 great-grandchildren. Service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, January 13 at Forest Hill South with visitation starting at 1:30 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
