Martha Bess Howell, 95, of Middleton, TN passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, TN.

Ms. Howell was a member of Middleton Methodist Church. She received a bachelor's degree from Memphis State University. After college she worked for the FBI until her marriage to Nile. She opened Happy Howell daycare center after her children was born. She was a member of Middleton Methodist Church.

She led her water aerobics club, and enjoyed being a part of the Bunco Squad.

She also enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with them. She was always on the go working on her rental houses and checking on her renters. She was an avid shopper and loved antique-ing.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Nile G. Howell; her son, Anthony Howell and daughter in-law, Jody Howell, also, grandson Daniel Howell and son in-law, Jimmy Best.

She leaves her daughter, Pamela Howell Best, and son, Rodney Kevin Howell. Her grandchildren, Chris Howell (Teresa), Michelle Best Spencer (Dean); and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
