Martha Jane Lea Mendoza, of Memphis, TN, 75, was born on August 1, 1940 in El Paso, TX, to Charles and Luz Lea. She passed away on January 24, 2016. Mrs. Mendoza leaves her loving husband of 50 years, David Mendoza; three children, Steven, David (Lisa), Rebecca (Craig); five grandchildren, Amanda, Andrea, Sarah, Daniel, Alexandra; two sisters, Edna Lea, Esther Flores; two brothers, Charles "Sonny" Lea, James Lea; two aunts, an uncle and several cousins. She was a homemaker, loved the New York Yankees, and an active parishioner at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett. Mrs. Mendoza was a former President of the Legion of Mary and active in various other church functions. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Friday, January 29 until service begins at 12.p.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett. Interment will follow in Forest Hill East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to her church or to Catholic Charities.
