Martha Jo Moore Ullrich, 75, of Southaven, MS, passed away peacefully in her home on January
27, 2021, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on April 14, 1945 in Pope,
Mississippi to Lemuel Faye and Ida Pearl Moore.
Martha was a retired nurse, who spent 50 years working at Baptist Memorial Health Care
Corporation in Memphis, Tennessee. She was an active member of DeSoto Hills Baptist Church
in Southaven. At the church she led the Women's Ministry and served in the Children's Ministry
as a 1st grade Sunday School teacher and an Awana volunteer. She was also a member of the
Heritage Home and Garden Club in Southaven.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, L.F Moore, Sr and Ida Pearl Moore; her sisters,
Mary Ingram and Jeri Young; and her brother, L.F. Moore, Jr.
Martha is survived by her two children, daughter, Scarlet Ullrich Poley (Mark) of Nesbit, MS;
her son, Brandon Ullrich (Laura) of Southaven; two sisters, Billie Johnson of Southaven and
Doris Cobb of Pope; her pride and joy, her grandchildren, Addisyn and Nolan Ullrich of
Southaven. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Her honorary pallbearers are her nephews: Todd Cobb, Ike Cobb, Ashley Ingram, Keith Ingram,
Dan Johnson, Chuck Young, Jeff Young, and great nephews: Kai Ingram, Kris Ingram, Daniel
Johnson, Will McGee, Jeffrey Young, Trey Young, and Trevor Young.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to DeSoto Hills Baptist Church.
