Martha Ann was born May 18, 1953 in Mobile Alabama and passed quietly in her sleep on Oct 25, 2021. She met and fell in love with David Eugene Ray and the two were married on May 17, 1979.

Martha and David had two sons David "Davey" Ray Jr and Bennett "Ben" Ray. Martha lived with son Ben and his family (Janet, Theresa, Elizabeth, and Patricia) during the last years of her life.

Martha attended Bruce Elementary, Bellevue Jr. High and Memphis Central HS. Central Baptist Church is where Martha learned of Jesus and his love and sacrifice for all of our sins and where she spent many years of her life. Martha was attending East Side Baptist where she knew many folks and where she met some special loving people.

Martha never met a stranger, she loved to read, talk and talk on the telephone, and she was never the first person to end a call.

Martha Ann is survived by her son Ben Ray, her sister Donna Dondeville and brother Bill Gregory.

Martha was preceded in her death by son Davey Eugene Ray Jr and her husband David E. Ray Senior..
