Born March 4, 1935 in Eupora Mississippi, Martha spent her life serving the Lord and helping others.  Through George and Martha Schweizer, countless individuals have come to know the Lord and have received assistance in their lives, and we now gather together to bid our farewell as she returns to reap her reward in Heaven.

Martha was an accomplished gardener who cultivated the most beautiful irises and daylilies, which always took top honors in flower shows.  She often referred to her flowers as her "children," and knew each one by name.  She enjoyed strolling through the garden with friends and family, showing each flower's brilliant colors and reciting their names.  She was an active member of the Mid-South Iris Society and always took top honors in their shows.  We feel it is appropriate to say that Martha is survived by her amazing garden and hundreds of "flower children," the names of which are too long to list.

As accomplished as she was at gardening, Martha was an amazing cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her friends and family.  For holidays, she would lovingly and painstakingly prepare gourmet dishes that would have made Julia Child proud.  Her signature dish was her blueberry tart, which everyone looked forward to for dessert- served only on special occasions.

Martha also loved horses, and never missed watching a Kentucky Derby.  She was an accomplished equestrian, having grown up on a farm in rural Mississippi.  Her favorite horses were walking horses, and she was very fond of walking horse shows.

George and Martha spent their lives together serving the Lord, and not only spreading the Good News, but also reaching out to those in need.  There are countless lives that have been touched by their generosity; not just through monetary donations, but through donations of time and energy, and through simply reaching out with a caring heart to those who are in need of emotional support. Survived in death by three boys: Dan, Jay, and Mark, five grandchildren, Jacob, Luke, Timothy, Allison, and Petra: and one great-grandchild, Matthew, Martha's legacy lives on, and through these and many future generations, her mission of spreading the Good News and caring for others lives on.  It is now time for her to receive her blessing in return, eternally with her beloved Lord in Heaven.
