Martha E. Walters Meyer, 80, of Memphis passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014. Mrs. Meyer was a retired assistant program director for TV Channel 3 in Memphis. She was a longtime member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Martha is preceded in death by her husbands: Walter Lee Walters and Gene Meyer, Sr.; one sister and two brothers. She leaves her daughter, Darla Childs (Tony); her son, Greg Walters and step-son Gene Merwin Meyer, Jr.; 4 grandchildren: Carrie Wright, Charles Wright, Jr., April Box and Janice Beckham. Service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, September 20 at Forest Hill East with visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service. The family requests that memorials are sent to: Aldersgate United Methodist Church or St. Jude Children''s Hospital.
