Martha Jane Whitby Jackson Woodard, age 79, of Cordova, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2023.
Jane was born in Cherry Valley, Arkansas on June 29, 1944 to the late Franklin and Bertha Whitby. She was a homemaker who loved to garden, bake, cook, read, and spend time with her family. She loved her church community and for years helped with the youth on trips for "World Changers". Her faith was strong and she was also a member of "Women of Joy".

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Franklin and Bertha Whitby. of Cherry Valley, Arkansas, Brothers, Charles Hubert Whitby (Wynne, AR), and Wayne Whitby (West Memphis, AR). and her husband, Solon Arvis Woodard.

She is survived by Sister, Bertha Ann Whitby (Cherry Valley, AR), Brothers, Pete Whitby (Russellville, AR), and Ricky Ray Whitby (Cherry Valley, AR), Son, David Woodard (Jonesboro, AR), daughters, Kathza Dianna Jackson Goodwin (Jimmy) (Cordova,TN), Shannon Renee Jackson McDade (Mark) (Somerville,TN), and Stepdaughter, Teresa Woodard McRoberts (Surf City, NC).

Jane also leaves behind six Grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren, Summer Renee McDade, Mia McDade, Connor McDade, Hunter Carpenter, Kareon Weisfield, and Katilyn Kreger.

Services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Forest Hill East; Visitation will be the evening before services on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
