MARY HELEN BRIDGES ALFORD, 86, formerly of Memphis, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013 in West Monroe, LA. Visitation will be Monday, November 11 from 9 to 10 a.m. with service following. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. Many Helen was born on August 18, 1927, at Lambert, MS to Willie Frank and Lena G. Bridges. She is a member of Longstreet United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Mrs. Alford leaves her husband, Ellis Eli Alford, Sr.; two sons: Ellis E. Alford, Jr. (Linda) and Randall B Alford (Kay); eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; also four sisters and two brothers.
