Mary Ann Carpenter, age 80, of Bartlett, TN entered her heavenly home on Sunday, October 5, 2025 after a long health battle.

She was born on November 5, 1944, in Millington, TN to John Henry and Viola May. She graduated from Millington High School in 1964.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Carpenter; brother, Ed (Cleo) May; and sisters, Betsy (Sissy) Connell and Wilma May.

She is survived by her son, Rick (Julie) Carpenter and grandchildren, Caroline and Graham Carpenter.

Celebration of Mary Ann's life will be on Friday, October 17 at 11:00 AM at Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova, TN. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

Mary Ann was an active member of Bellevue Baptist Church where she enjoyed volunteering in the children's ministry for many years.

She worked as a sales associate for JC Penney, then at Accurate Air from which she retired in 2004. She then took on her favorite role of all, watching her beloved grandchildren.

Mary Ann was known for her generosity, servant heart, and sweet, gentle spirit. She was always smiling and friendly with everyone she encountered.

She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
