Mary K. Cowan, 87 of Sardis, MS, formerly of Memphis, TN, a retired telephone sales operator for Sears, died May 2, 2015 at Desoto Healthcare. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 4 from 5-7 p.m. and funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5 all at Forest Hill East Funeral Home on Whitten Road. Mrs. Cowan was preceded in death by her husband, George Cowan and daughter Kathryn Ann Pryor. Mrs. Cowan leaves behind a daughter, Delores Cowan Provow and a son, George Donald Cowan both of Sardis, MS; seven grandchildren, Gary Pryor, Chuck Pryor, Mark Pryor, Amy Cowan Fojas, Christine Cowan Randalls, Sarah Cowan Pilkenton and Phillip Cowan; six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
