On March 13th,  2018, Mary Ann Franklin passed away quietly at her home.  Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husbands Bobby Gene Lemmons (died 1972)  and LCDR (ret) Charles "Bud" Franklin ( died 1995), her parents Clyde and Ruth Craig, her brothers David Craig and Richard Craig and her daughter Wendy Franklin Hungelmann.  Mary Ann is survived by her brother, Robert Craig of Holly Springs, MS and her children: Brian Franklin of Las Vegas, NV, Maj (ret) Sharon Franklin Baker of Las Vegas, NV, Lisa Franklin Castleman of Flowery Branch, GA and 5 grandsons.

Mary Ann retired from Memphis City Schools where she was a kindergarten teacher at Shady Grove Elementary School for 19 years.  She was a member of The House (formerly Raleigh Assembly of God) serving in Manna Ministries and Women of the Word (WOW). Mary Ann was also an active member of Memphis Storytellers.

A memorial service to honor Mary Ann's life will be held on Saturday, March 17th, at 1:00pm at Robinwood Resort Living located at 2795 Kirby Whitten Road, Bartlett, TN 30134 with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make a charitable donation to Samaritan's Purse, American Cancer Society or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
