Mary Evelyn Gallo, 87, passed away at her home on January 29, 2017 surrounded by her family. Evelyn was born March 27, 1929 to her parents, Louis and Mary Sue Gateley. Evelyn was retired from Anderson Tully. She was a long time member of Frayser Baptist Church, and a current member of Bartlett Hills Baptist Church. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gallo; a brother, Larry Gateley; and a sister, Margaret Evans. She leaves her four children, Frank Gallo (Paula), Joni Clemons (Kenny), Karen King (David), and Don Gallo (Paula); five grandchildren, Joseph Gallo, Christopher Garrett, Kayla Gallo, Kasey Gallo, and Justin King; and three great grandsons, Levi, Bradley and PJ. She also leaves her brother, Jimmy Gateley and a host of nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 1 at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, East on Whitten Road with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Forest Hill Midtown Cemetery.
