Mary Sue Gilbert, 85, passed away surrounded by loved ones on September 22, 2024.

Mary was a very simple woman that liked what she liked. She spent her precious time doing only what she loved. Which included going to bible study regularly and watching MLB games. Her favorite team was the Atlanta Braves – Go Blooper!!! She loved them so much, that she would rotate her daily duties around their games. After 20+ years of supervising at  The Federal Reserve Bank, she retired and was able to do just that. However, nothing brought her more joy than spending time with the family.

Mary was preceded in passing by her loving husband of 40 years, George Gilbert; her parents; two sisters, Joyce Simpson, and Shirley Prince; and three brothers, William Boman, Ray Craig, and James Craig.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, George (Sandy) Gilbert; one grandchild, Amanda (Timothy) Dacus, and one great grandchild, Jalen Dacus.
