It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Alice Glissen Martin on April 28, 2023, at the age of 86. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Born on January 6, 1937, in Poteet, TX, Mary was the daughter of Dave and Okie Marie Glissen. She was one of eight children and grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. Mary met and married the love of her life, Wallace Neal Martin, and together they started their own family.

Mary was a devoted member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and had a strong faith that she shared with those around her. her kind and caring nature endeared her to many, and she was loved and respected by all who knew her.

Mary is preceded in death by her parent, her beloved husband Neal, her brothers Charles, Joe Dean, John Thomas Glissen, and her sister Margie Brogdon. She is survived by her brothers Leslie and Terry Glissen and sister Martha Jean Fowler. She is also survived by her children, Sheila Cowan and David Martin (Stacey), her three grandsons, Stephen Martin, Taylor Tamke (Alexis), and jake Martin, and her three great-grandchildren, Paxton and Callie Martin and Cooper Tamke.

Mary's legacy of kindness, faith, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will be cherished forever. Rest in peace Mary Alice Glissen Martin.
