Mary Eloise Hales, 81, born February 12, 1941, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 in Memphis, TN. She leaves behind two sons, James Clay Chesteen and Jimmy Ray Chesteen; seven grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Margie McWilliams; one brother, Willard Cecil McWilliams; one sister, Bobbie Jean Elmore; two sons, Johnny Edward Chesteen and Bennie Morris Chesteen; and one great-grandson Ryder Reid Waits.

Mary was a member of the Eastern Star in Memphis, TN and the Dungarees and Petticoats Square Dance Club. Many people will remember Mary from her 35 years of dedicated hard work at Hubbard's Hardware in Frayser, TN. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping and spending time in the kitchen cooking some of her delicious dishes.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 9:00-10:00a.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home East. Funeral services will start at 10:00a.m. with burial to follow at Forest Hill East Cemetery 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis, TN 38133.
