Mary Ellen Kissell, 83, passed away at home Thursday morning, December 17, 2015. She was born in Memphis on January 7, 1932, to Clara and Vincent Ryan. She is survived by four children, Clara Jane Gideon, Robert E. Kissell, Jr., Letitia L. Williams, and Kimberly A. Trouy, 18 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She married Robert E. Kissell on 20 January 1951, and was married to him until 1985, when he passed. She was involved with church, family, and friends throughout her life. She attended Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, and was a lector, Eucharistic minister, and member of the Alter Guild. She was active with her children in Scouting and sports. Visitation will be held 5-7 pm Sunday, December 20, at Forest Hill Funeral Home East; rosary at 6:30 p.m. Her funeral mass will be held at St. Brigid Catholic Church at 2 p.m. Monday, December 21.
