Mary Kirk Knight, 86, of Cordova, TN, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

Mary was born on May 26, 1940, to Linnie Parmer and Clara Kirk. She graduated from Middleton High School in Middleton, TN, and married Billy Knight on May 7, 1961. Together they raised three children.

Mary and Bill enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, and visiting Tunica. As members of Bassmates, they won many fishing tournaments together. She especially loved hosting family holiday gatherings and spending time with her loved ones.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Wayne Knight; three brothers, William, Fred, and Troy Kirk; and three sisters, Madge Bell, Hazel Young, and Pat Hill.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Knight of Cordova; two daughters, Deidra Payne, her husband Robby and Janet Caprio; five grandchildren, Chris Payne, Michael, Aaron, Jordan, and Daniel Caprio; and three great-grandchildren, Theo, Gio, and Giorgi Caprio.

Mary will be dearly missed
