Mary Evelyn Litton, 92, of Collierville, TN, passed away on Friday, July 28th at home with family and friends around her. She was born in Hatchie, TN on November 29, 1924 to Lillie Mae Smith and William Clark Pipkin. She graduated from Jackson High School in Jackson, TN. On May 3, 1947, Albert Zane Litton (23) and Mary Evelyn Litton (22) were married. They were married 54 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, her brother, Glenn Pipkin and her sister, Dorothy Warren. She leaves behind her daughter, Vicki C. Waldroop; sons, Kerry R. Litton (Elaine) and Albert Z. Litton, Jr., (Joan); four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was a member of Piperton United Methodist Church in Piperton, TN. She was also a 50 years member of Normal Whitehaven #43 Eastern Star and worked with the Rainbow Girls. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Heart Association, Piperton United Methodist Church or to Avalon Hospice, 5901 Shelby Oaks Drive, Memphis, TN, 38134. Visitation will be1 p.m. Friday, August 4 until service begins at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, East with interment following.
