Mary Lou "Mawmaw" Malone, 87, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2020. She was a member of City of Refuge in Atoka and enjoyed sewing and caring for children. In recent years, she enjoyed mandala coloring. Mrs. Malone was a loving, faithful wife of 68 years, dedicated follower of Christ for 65 years, and a loving mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Malone; sons, John T. Malone, Jr., and Dennis T. Malone; parents, W. E. and Donnie Mae Jones; brothers, Preston Jones, Cleston Jones, twin brothers Chester and Lester Jones, Joe Jones, Leston Jones, James Arthur Jones and his twin sister, Onie Jean Jones; sister, Sarah Elfredice Elam. Survivors include her daughters, Donna Lynn Smith (Pastor Ron) of Brighton, Cheryl Gayle Stempert of Columbus, MS, Sandra K. Malone of Memphis; sons, Charles W. Malone (Pam) of Brighton, John A. Malone (Glenda) of Brighton; sister, Mildred Ofella "Aunt Till" McDonald of Meridian, MS; 14 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Monday at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Forest Hill East Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Forest Hill East Memorial Park.
