Mary Frances Pitman, 87, of Naples FL, went home to be with our Lord on September 27, 2026. She was born on May 18, 1939 to the late Frank and Mary Peele Grosjean.

She was preceded in death by her brother Frank Grosjean, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Robert Sweeney of Naples, FL, as well as her brother, Keith Grosjean of Clearwater, FL. and sons, Jeff (Vickie) and Scott (Terry), granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Pitman (Caleb), grandsons, Shane Pitman, Taylor Pitman and Tanner Pitman (Carey).

A graduate of Millington Central High School, Mary Frances was an accomplished singer. After retirement from her singing career, she continued to share her gift by singing in and directing her church choirs. She enjoyed many different hobbies; traveling the world, playing the piano, painting, sewing, tennis and golf. She was a devoted and loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. Everyone who met her immediately was struck by her warm smile, joy of life, incurable optimism and faith. She will always be remembered for her loving devotion to her family and friends.

Mary Frances Celebration of Life will be held at a private grave site service on Thursday, October 15, 2026
