Mary Catherine Polischeck, known as Cathy, of Southaven, MS passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, on November 19, 2023, at age 68. Cathy was born on October 5, 1955, in Memphis TN to Woody and Lois Vinson.

Cathy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She taught high school before she dedicated over 40 years to the United States Postal Service. Cathy had a passion for fitness and sports. In her youth, she was an avid runner and competitive softball player. She also participated in body-building competitions and taught aerobics classes. Her true love, though, was and always will be her family. She coached her children in little league football, baseball, softball, and anything they ever wanted to play, and she loved the family's annual trip to Disney World. She was particularly fond of Christmas and made it magical for her family every year with gifts, decorations, and an endless amount of love. In her spare time, Cathy loved shopping (for anyone but herself), playing cards, and watching her favorite gameshows. She was everyone's person – she was always there to help with a smile and warmth that couldn't be found anywhere else. She had a quick wit, an infectious smile, and all the love in the world. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her, and they will never stop feeling her love. Words cannot convey how deeply and profoundly she will be missed.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Terry Andrew Polischeck, her daughter, Caristy Polischeck Brooks, her son, Brett Andrew Polischeck, by her grandchildren, Paxton Andrew Polischeck, Evelyn Riley Brooks, Ella Kathryn Polischeck, Elijah Burns Brooks, and Cooper Robert Polischeck, and by her sister, Deborah Jo McCulley. There are too many names to list for those that will feel her absence, but she will never be forgotten.

Cathy is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Woody Vinson, her mother, Lois Jean Vinson, and her sister, Jeanne Vinson McAfee.
