Mary Evelyn Rushing, 94, of Lakeland, TN passed away on May 17, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn H. Rushing and parents, H.H. Holden and Nannie Clark Holden; brothers Herman Holden and Herbert Holden; sisters, Addie Mae Vescovo, Mabel Curtis, and Frances Salmon. Left to cherish her memories are her sister Aliene Richards and brother Wayne Holden. Two sons, Jerry Paul Rushing and James Michael Rushing of Lakeland, TN. Two grandchildren Ronnie Paul Rushing and Jamie Smith Wilson. Four great grandchildren, Justin Mccoy Rushing, Sonny D. Wilson, Kristin Dianne Rushing and Jonathan D. Wilson. She worked for Malco Theater for 49 years. Prior to Malco she worked for Universal Pictures. She was a member of WOMPI (Women of Motion Pictures) for 53 yrs. Her hobby's were metal detecting and gardening. She was a faithful member of the Calvery Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 22,2019 from 5:00-8:00 pm and her funeral will be Thursday, May 23,2019 at 3:00 pm at Forrest Hill Funeral Home East.
