IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Margaret
Skelton
February 26, 1931 – November 3, 2024
Mary M. Skelton went home to her Lord and Savior on November 3, 2024, at the age of 93.
Mary led her life just as Christ led her. Mary remained faithful in church and devoted her time to teaching Sunday School. It is an honor to say, that the officiator, Brother Mike O'Brien can testify and bear witness to the calling that was placed on her life. The very thoughtful, kind and loving Mary, had many gifts and talents that she used to bless others. She was a lady with many tricks up her sleeves. She enjoyed playing games, whether it was board games or cards. Her blessed hands were used to beautify and treat hair as she was a beautician, and she enjoyed sewing for family members and herself. However, she was well known as a great cook, especially when it comes to baking. Her lemon ice box and chocolate pies are favorites to many. In down time, Mary would enjoy the beauty of nature. She loved gardening and would sit for hours bird watching. Most importantly, Mary loved family. Her pride and joy were her grands and great grandbabies.
Mary was preceded in passing by her loving husband of 50 years, Percy Skelton; and one brother, J.T. Burchette.
Mary leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Becky (Michael) Carr; one son, Ralph (Viki) Skelton; four grandchildren, Alex (Maggie) Skelton, Kristi Skelton, Scott (Eva) Joyner, and Dean (Samantha) Joyner; six great grandchildren, Jaxon, Lily, Addison, Beckett, Kennedy, and one little princess is on the way! She also leaves two sisters, Eva Watkins, Nita O'Brien; and three brothers, Owens Burchette, Leon Burchette, and Stanley Burchette.
