Mary Ann Sorensen, 73, passed away in Memphis, TN, on January 23, 2019.  "Mrs. Ann" was retired from the VA Medical center after taking care of many of our veterans for over thirty years.  She enjoyed going on cruises with her husband, Joe, and their best friends, Steve and Sherri.  She loved dolphins, angels, her children, their special dog, Sheba, the beach, and she was an avid reader; she was also the "QVC Queen."  Left to cherish her memory isare her loving husband, Joseph Edward Sorensen of Memphis, TN; her daughter, Anna Marie Sorensen of Memphis, TN; her son, Joseph Michael Sorensen (Tanya Lee Hathaway) of Oakland, TN; and two brothers, John William Cothern of Brentwood, TN and Henry Burt Cothern of Walls, MS.  Mrs. Ann was also blessed with two granddaughters, Meagan Nicolle Manning and Taylor Alyssa Sorensen; and one great-grandson, Joseph Timothy Manning.  Visitation with her family will be on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 pm, with her service on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, 10:00 am at Forest Hill Funeral Home East.  Please contact 901-382-1000 for information.
