Mary Jo Briscoe Watkins, 75, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. She was born July 27, 1943 in Memphis, Tennessee. Her parents were Robert Joseph Briscoe, and Garland Elizabeth Evans. Mary was married to her husband Loyd Stevenson Watkins on May 16, 1961. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Denise Thompson and her son, Fred Wilson Thompson Jr. She is also survived by one grandchild, Carmel Nicole Miller, and three great grandchildren, Ava Elizabeth Miller, Hayley Elaine Miller, and Hudson George Miller. Mary spent 27 years as a telephone operator for AT&T and South Central Bell. She resided in Southaven, Mississippi.

She left a true legacy of love and sacrifice for her family. She was always there whenever anyone needed anything. She was everyone's mom and best friend. She was a lover of Elvis and a lover of dogs Visitation will be from 11 to 12 noon with graveside service will immediately following on Friday, August 3 ^rd at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, East.
