Acuff, Marylin E. McNeill, age 79, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2016 in Lebanon, TN surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Memphis, Marylin attended Messick High School. She married and became a devoted Air Force wife to her husband, Mack, and resided in Washington, DC, San Antonio, TX, Roswell, NM, Fremont, NE and Panama City, FL before Mack''s retirement in 1975. She thoroughly enjoyed the role of military wife as it provided her with adventure, travel, leadership, friendships and wonderful memories. She was an avid golfer and was a huge University of Memphis Tigers fan. She was a former member of Bartlett United Methodist Church.

Marylin is predeceased by her devoted and loving husband, Mack, as well has her beloved older sister, Betty McNeill Rowan (Bobby), and older brother Simon Phillip McNeill, Jr., and parents Simon Phillip McNeill, Sr., and Marjorie Schmulbach McNeill. Marylin is survived by her loving daughters, Suzanne Acuff Harrison and husband Roger, and Sondra Acuff Lawrence and husband Brian; her grandchildren, Ferrin Lawrence, Robert Lawrence and Ryan Harrison, all of whom gave her tremendous joy. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews Lynn Rowan Ferrier, Ava Rowan Portis (Tom), Bob Rowan (Susan), and John Rowan (Peggy), and will be remembered for giving her nieces and nephews some very fond memories. She leaves behind numerous grand-nieces and nephews, whom she also loved very much.

Graveside service, celebration of life and burial will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Forest Hill Funeral Home East, 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, Tennessee (901)382-1000. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALZ Alliance of the Mid-South (alz.org/donate) or to LeBonheur Childrens'' Hospital (Lebonheur.org).
