Mattie Lockhart, 79, of Germantown, TN died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital-Bartlett. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Paul Lockhart, Jr. and is survived by her children, Quinita LaPorte of Houston, TX, Cheri Taylor of Oakland, TN, Angie Walley of Arkansas, Gerald Laney of Germantown, TN, Jimmy Lockhart of Bartlett, TN; sisters, Edna Ball of Georgia, Jean Bunch of Alabama; brothers, Carl Moore, Jim Moore and Raymond Moore all of Alabama; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lockhart was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lisa Laney, her sister, Beulah Pace and brother, Billy Moore. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m., Tuesday, June 5, with services to follow at 2 p.m., all at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memphis Memory Gardens.
