Maude James of Lakeland, Tennessee was born on April 22, 1936 and passed away peacefully at St. Francis Hospital Bartlett on November 19, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary James. She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Conrad and Cynthia Harber (Mark). Also, her sister, Martha Barbee and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was employed at General Electric for 30 years. She loved shopping, working puzzles, going to church and reading the bible. Her faith was immensely strong. She spent her entire life talking about Jesus to anyone who would listen. Everyone who met her could see that she was passionate about Christianity.

She married the Love of her Life, Gary James in 1952. For 69 years their love was as strong as the day they met. Those that came into contact with them could see the love that they had for one another which left a lasting impression of what real Love meant. He passed away just five months ago.

Mom, we will miss you dearly, but you are with Dad now.

There will be a private ceremony at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, TN 38125.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Heartsong Church located at 800 N Houston Levee Road, Cordova, TN 38018.
