Maxine L. Cates, 83, of Memphis, died November 22, 2013. She is survived by her children, Larry Hughes, Linda Hughes, Rebecca Ortiz, all of Memphis; two sisters, Betty Deckelman of Olive Branch, Bonnie Beasley of Memphis; brother, Donald Wayne Johnson of Southaven; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday, November 24 and service will be 10 a.m. Monday, November 25 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home with interment following.
