Maxine T. Fowler, 87, of Memphis, TN died Friday, August 23, 2013 at her home on her mother''s birthday. She was a member of Leawood Baptist Church and retired from the Advertising Checking Bureau. Mrs. Fowler was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Fowler and is survived by her daughter, Karen Ballinger of Memphis, TN; her son, Russell Fowler of Chattanooga, TN; grandson, David Stephenson (Karen); great grandchildren, Patrick and Brandon Stephenson and her sister-in-law, Lena Trantham of Memphis, TN. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 12-2 p.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2013 with services to follow at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Forest Hill East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital.
