Mayfair S. Fowlkes, 93, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012, after a brief illness. Mayfair was retired from Barringer Cotton Company and resided at Kennington Point Senior Living Village. She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Otha Cecil Fowlkes, Sr. She is survived by her two sons, Cecil Fowlkes (Sally) of Franklin, TN, and James H. Fowlkes (Jackie) of Collierville, TN; four grandchildren, Todd Fowlkes (Vicki) and Tiffany Alden (Randy) of Collierville, TN, Lindsey Fowlkes and Callie Victory (Keith) of Brentwood, TN. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren of Collierville, TN and Brentwood, TN. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2012, with funeral services immediately following at Forest Hill East Funeral Home, Whitten Rd., Memphis, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital.
