Melvin Leonard Gustafson, 73, of Memphis passed away Thursday, January 17 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Desoto. Service will be Tuesday, January 22 at Forest Hill South with visitation from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. Mr. Gustafson is an Air Force, Air National Guard Veteran. During his career he worked for Pace Corporation in Russell, AR and Security Signals in Oakland, TN. He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest L. Gustafson and brother, Brent. He leaves his mother, Era Gustafson; Linda Newlon, the mother of their three children: Angela Gustafson of Memphis, Kevin Gustafson (Vonda) of Arlington, TN and Greg Gustafson (Heather) of Navarre, FL; two sisters, Judy Bondurant and Linda Barnes; three brothers: Neil, Travis and Tod Gustafson; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
