Merideth "Wayne" Parker went to live with Jesus on May 15th 2013 at 6:55 p.m. She was 86. Born in Stone County, AR, September 20th 1926. She passed after suffering from C.O.P.D. for many years, and died from pneumonia. She was the widow of Donald Webster Parker, who passed away November 2000. She was also preceded in death by her infant son, Webster Shay Parker; older sister, Leah Emogene Martin Hugg, and younger brother Thomas Jefferson George. She leaves the following: oldest son, Michael Owen Parker, daughter, Donna Russell Parker, both of Memphis, youngest son, Dustin / Dale Shawn Parker and his wife, Barbara Janis Parker, both live in Chicago Heights, IL; and their daughter, Sarah Parker Collier, and her husband, Scott Collier of Nashville, TN where they are finishing their PhDs. She has many family members including younger sister, Patrice G. Riviere, and her husband, Rene Riviere, both of Huntsville, AL; her only living brother, Bill and his wife, Lavon George; sister-in-law, Marie George, all from Mountain View, AR. She also leaves many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. Wayne, as she was known by, was a loving mother, teacher, counselor and friend. She was always genuine, honest, caring and kind and will be sorely missed, but never ever forgotten. Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 with services to follow at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. (No graveside services). Interment will be Monday, May 20th, in the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
