Merritt E. Randle, Jr., 80, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025.

Born on April 30, 1945, on Mossy Lake just outside of Morgan City, Mississippi, Merritt moved to Memphis in the late 1960s, where he built his life, career, and family. In 1970, he married the love of his life, Charlene M. Randle, and they shared 31 years of marriage until her passing in 2001.

Merritt was a proud graduate of Mississippi State University, where he earned his degree in Accounting. He went on to enjoy a long and successful career as a Corporate Controller in the Mid-South, retiring from the Mallory Group after decades of service in the field.

A man of deep faith, Merritt was a born-again Christian and longtime member of Central Church in Memphis. His life was a reflection of his strong faith, his devotion to family, and his resolute integrity.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Charlene M. Randle; his brother, Rev. James Percy Randle; his parents, Wesley Ann Varner-Randle and Merritt E. Randle, Sr.; and his grandparents, Anna Varner and Sebron Wesley Varner, and Fred Merritt Randle and Mabry Ely Randle.

Merritt is survived by his son, Jason M. Randle (Alizza); two cherished granddaughters, Jade Ann Punzalan Randle and Ava Jaslyn Punzalan Randle; his brothers, Fred Wes Randle and William Smith "Smitty" Randle; his sister, Sandra Ann Randle; and his sisters-in-law, Becky Randle (Smitty) and Anita Randle (Percy). He will be remembered with love by many extended family members and friends.

Merritt will be laid to rest beside his wife, Charlene, at Forest Hill Cemetery- East, 2440 Whitten Rd, Memphis, TN 38133.
