Merritt Lee Roach, Jr., passed away on July 20, 2018 at the age of 87.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years Mildred Mae Roach: a brother Donald Roach and his parents Merritt Lee Roach, Sr. and Margaret Irene Roach.  He leaves one son Michael Lee Roach (Elizabeth) and one step daughter Reba Claunch (Jimmy) and two brothers, Harold Roach (Mary) and Duane Roach (Mary Jo).  Merritt graduated from Tech High and retired from Plough Inc. after 40 years of service.  He was a great father and husband and an avid hunter and fisherman.  He was know as "Mr.  Fix It", always helping anyone that had something broken.  The family would like to thank the nursing team at Methodist Hospice House and Methodist Germantown Hospital for the compassionate care they provided Mr. Roach in his last days.  Visitation services will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 1PM until service time at 2 PM all at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Mem. Park East. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude Children's Research Center.
