Michael Stephen Johnson

September 28, 1946 - February 8, 2026

Michael Stephen Johnson of Olive Branch Mississippi passed away February 8, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital at the age of 79. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Cooper Johnson and Ivo Cloyce Williams. He was a graduate of Whitehaven High School, served in the United States Army, and worked for many years at Caterpillar and Constar (retired).

Michael was a devoted father to his daughter, Rosemary Michelle Wilson (husband. Mark) of Forrest City. Arkansas: he was a proud grandfather (Pa) to his granddaughter, Marlee Jo Wilson of San Antonio, Texas; he loved his two step-grandsons, Jonathan Wilson of Springfield, Virginia and Nathan Wilson of Omaha, Nebraska. Michael loved and cherished his sister, Janet Selby (husband, Bill) of Eads, Tennessee, and his many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

As an avid golfer and bowler, Michael very much appreciated not only the physical aspects of the sports, but the many, many friendships developed, cultivated, and enjoyed throughout his life. His loyalty and devotion to family and friends will be sincerely missed and forever remembered.

In lieu of a service or flowers, it was Michael's request that consideration be given to donating to West Cancer Center of Memphis, the American Cancer Society, the American Lung Association, or the charity of your choice.
