Walls - Michael V. "Mike" Talbert, 62, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014. Mike served in the U.S. National Guard and was a truck driver for over 42 years. He was a loving husband, father and proud grandfather. Along with spending time with his family he loved to hunt, fish and as a young man he rode and trained horses. Mike is preceded in death by his father, L.C. "Bub" Horton. He leaves his wife, Lynne Talbert; four children: Michael Andrew Talbert, Wendy Talbert Johnson, James Bradley Talbert and Lauren Nicole Talbert; mother, Lynell Horton; all of Walls, one sister, Gail Lackey of Marion, AR, and three brothers: Jack Kent Talbert and Ricky L. Horton both of Walls; Randy Horton of Southaven and 6 grandchildren. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 4 at Forest Hill South with service Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Autumn Woods Cemetery in Olive Branch, MS.
