Michael "Mike" Wayne Tucker, 62, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, formerly of Memphis, TN passed away at his home, Saturday, June 22, 2013. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Melvin C. and Georgia M. Tucker and sister-in- law, Margaret C. Tucker. Mr. Tucker graduated from Whitehaven High School in Memphis and retired January 2013, from Federal Express as a Senior Aviation Mechanic. Mike loved fishing with his family and brothers, boating and attending church community; Mike leaves behind three children, David Sowers, Cooper City, FL; Jana Tucker, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and Michelle "Niki" Tucker, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; three grandchildren, Benjamin Sowers; Abigale Sowers; and Vincent Patrick; two brothers, Melvin J. Tucker, Robinsonville, MS and Marcus L. Tucker, Memphis, TN; and his best friend and "Brother from another Mother'', Marlin Little, Memphis, TN; a daughter-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who are great influences in their families'' lives. Mike is very blessed with great role models for his children and grandchildren, the mother of his children,"Gale Tucker", Cooper City, FL; all are very active in his children and grandchildren lives. Visitation will be, Friday, July 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. with service at 2 p.m. Saturday all at Forest Hill South and interment will follow in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
