Mickey E. Ragsdale, 77, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024, in Memphis, TN.

Mickey was born in Memphis, TN, on November 25, 1946, to the late Alex and Opal Ragsdale. He had many friends that he enjoyed spending time with and used his quick wit to bring a room to laughter. An avid sports fan, he loved watching football and golf. In fact, golf became a passion for him and he could be found with his buddies on the course or driving range at Putt-Putt perfecting his swing. In his younger years, Mickey loved to go dancing and believed he was the best dancer in the room. He was proud to have his daughter and granddaughter follow in his footsteps. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and loved his family fiercely.

Mickey leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 23 years, Nancy E. Ragsdale, and four children: Louis Ragsdale of Memphis, TN; Lynda Collins (Brett) of Germantown, TN; Dana Bannerman (Amy) of Nashville, TN; and Paige Banish (Matt) of Salisbury, NC; one brother, Alex Ragsdale of California City, CA; six grandchildren: Zora Berretta, Houston Collins, Brooks Bannerman, Brinley Bannerman, Isabella Banish, and Harrison Banish.

He was preceded in death by his two beloved brothers, Lafayette Ragsdale and Louis Ragsdale.

Mickey's fun-loving spirit and ability to easily win friends lives on in his children and grandchildren. He will forever be in our hearts and will be dearly missed. There will never be another Mickey Ragsdale.
